Q: How long does it take to receive a door from your in stock selections?
A: Most orders ship next day whenever possible and we can coordinate with you to be sure your door arrives when you need it. The average time to ship to you will be 2-7 days depending on your location. Direct pickup is also available for those close enough to do so.
Q: How long does a custom door take to make
A: At Iron Envy we maintain a very tight production schedule that is based on each calendar year. Custom orders must have your CAD drawings approved and deposit made prior to the cutoff date for each production run. In general a custom order takes 12-14 weeks but could be quicker based on when your order is placed within our production schedule. Your Iron Envy Sales representative can give you an exact date of when you can expect to receive your custom door based on when your order is submitted and documents are approved.
Q: How can I measure to know what size door I need?
A: To measure your entryway it is best done from the outside of the house. As most homes have brick or mason surround, the measurements for your door need to stay inside of the brick unless your planning on replacing some of the brickwork. For the door width measure brick to brick from the outside. For door height measure subfloor to where the door framing meets the brick or header. This will give you the width and height you need.
Q: What does the Rough Opening (RO) need to be for an Iron Envy Door?
A: Typically the RO needs to be 1” wider and ½” higher than the door itself. This allows for ½” reveal around the entire door for ease of installation and adjustments to be made if needed. An example would be for one of our in stock 39”x96” doors, the RO needs to be 40” x 96 ½”.
